MACI provides a regular series of orientations and specialized training on its computational and multimedia resources. It also arranges workshops and training as requested by its members. Please contact Tara Curniski at (403) 210-5489 or tara@netera.ca to discuss specific MACI training needs. Annual training opportunities include:

MAY
University of Alberta
Each May, MACI in conjunction with Computing and Network Services at the U of A hosts four days of training, ranging from a general orientation to more detailed parallel programming workshops, for the Origin 2000/2400 high performance computing facility.

University of Calgary
Each spring, MACI in conjunction with Information Technologies at the U of C hosts several days of orientation and training to introduce new users among graduate students and faculty to the resources available. Specialized workshops are also held on advanced topics to meet the needs of current users. Calgary and Edmonton training opportunties are held during different weeks in May so that members can participate at both venues.

Each fall, MACI in conjunction with Information Technologies hosts general orientations to the MACI high performance computing and visualization/mulitmedia resources at the U of C. One or two specialized workshops are also held in the fall to meet identified needs.
